Jones-Emberson 1 (PK 164+31.1) is a 14th magnitude planetary nebula in Lynx. This image is the result of a Sigma-Sum stack of 36 x 900sec subframes (9 hours integration time), taken by an Orion Starshoot Pro V2 APSC CCD camera through a Meade 10in F6.3 SCT @ F5 via a Starizona .75X SCT reducer on a CEM-60 mount. Guided through an OAG. All phases of image acquisition, including mount control, platesolve assisted goto and autoguiding, were done using Astroart 8. This image was processed with AA8 SP5. Very impressive, Duncan. Congrats.
Appreciate also that you shared your processing steps. That is most helpful.
Clear skies

Here's another go at this target. 51 x 10min subs (8.5 hrs) through a 10in F8 SCT (using a Starizona LF SCT reducer) and an ASI071MCPro camera on a CEM120 mount.
processing history
11:42:38 Flip horizontal
11:41:31 Crop 0 84 4902 3239
11:39:49 Remove gradient adaptive sub. 95
11:38:50 White balance 4 -1 -1 -1 2 -1 -1 -1
11:37:53 Multiscale Lowpass 50 50 50 90
11:37:15 DDP 95 15 0 50 50 1.37 40
11:35:27 Histogram stretch 65535 8403 35019 -1 0
11:34:52 Deconvolution Richardson Lucy 10 2 100 40
(sigma sum stacking plus darks and flats)
I had some issues with imaging low on the horizon to start and some dewing in the later images, hence the slight crop and mild gradient filter.

Images taken on Jan 10-11-12 2026.
Here's another go at this target. 94 x 10min subs (15hrs 40min) through a 10in F8 SCT (using a Starizona LF SCT reducer) and an ASI071MCPro camera, ASI178mm guide camera, on a CEM120 mount. All aspects of image acquisition, centring, autofocus and OAG autoguiding, starting with the mount parked, was robotically controlled by Astroart-9 SP3. All processing with AA9 SP3. There was a mild gradient due to moon and dawn illumination which I mostly corrected with a mild gradient filter. I've added a finder chart for the image.
Processing History:
09:45:16 Flip horizontal ( to match the Aladin image orientation)
09:44:42 Remove gradient adaptive sub. 75
09:41:35 Crop 13 22 4859 3187 ( slight crop to remove bright edges )
09:31:33 Multiscale Lowpass 25 40 31 90 ( reduces noise on deep images of sparce star fields )
09:27:47 White balance 4 -1 -1 -1 2 -1 -1 -1
09:25:38 DDP 95 20 0 50 50 0 0 ( this is subjective and a balance between emphasizing noise and vignetting and bringing out detail in faint objects)
09:22:13 Histogram stretch 65535 15222 75509 -1 0 ( histogram stretch seems to reduce 'donut' effect (dark star cores) when using deconvolution)
09:21:07 Deconvolution Richardson Lucy 30 2 95 30 (I used 30 iterations which seems to work well)
