Abell 569 - NGC 2329 from last night

Post by Dunmunro » 09 Feb 2026, 18:08

Abell 569 - NGC 2329 64 x 5min subs (5hrs 20min) through a 10in F8 SCT (using a Starizona LF SCT reducer) and an ASI071MCPro camera, ASI178mm guide camera (gain 200 for lowest read noise vs DR as per ASI178 specs), on a CEM120 mount. All aspects of image acquisition, centring, autofocus and OAG autoguiding, starting with the mount parked, was robotically controlled by Astroart-9 SP3. All processing with AA9 SP3. I've added a finder chart for the image.

Processing history

10:29:10 Border 5 5 5 5 1 0 ( crop out border by 5 pixels on each side)

10:20:02 Deconvolution Richardson Lucy 30 2 70 25 ( I used a Sigma 2.0 Gaussian artificial star )

( Sigma sum stacking plus flats and darks) This image used R-L deconvolution but with an actual star PSF from the near centre of the image:
