Astrometry in AA8

Post by Patrick » 07 Jun 2022, 08:59

Hello,
Following the Astrometry example (AA8 User's Manual p. 96) Please see attached image.

When I place the cursor at the centre of the image I see in the status line the same RA and DEC values as shown in the Astrometry page. However the X, Y values in the Astrometry page appear to be the other way around in the status line. That is X=192 and Y =144.
(Tried the Vertical Flip but would not solve.)
How should I interpret this?
Regards,
Patrick.

Hello, that quick conversion tool works correctly, but the X/Y coordinates at startup are indeed wrong: X is set to Height/2 and Y to Width/2, which should be flipped (it could be done manually if needed). It will be corrected in AA8 SP2. If you like to have the prerelease just write me by PM or email.
Thanks, Fabio.
