Plate Solving Failure

Attached are two screenshots.  Plate solving has failed.  I am using a Skywatcher 80mm ED Pro, 600mm focal length with a ZWO ASI178mm camera. Attempted numerous changes to settings including adjusting the tolerance percentage to include settings between 20 and 50%, used different parts of the sky, yet plate solving continues to fail.

Try 10% in the +- Horizontal field.

If you are using a reducer that would change your focal length setting.

Which version and SP of Astroart are you using? It's possible that your star detection settings are incorrect. What was your exposure times?

I am not using a focal reducer.

I am using Astroart 7. Downloaded a short time ago.
I tried 10%, 20% up to 50%. Tried several exposure times 1 sec, 3 sec, 5 sec, 10 sec up to 30 sec.

I sent Fabio an email. He said the image was flipped. I guess I should check the flip image box?

Hi, the image is indeed flipped, here is the M81-82 field: To solve, enable the option "Vertical flip" in plate solve. If the optics always causes flipped images, consider the option to flip automatically during download.

I take an image. Plate solve with vertical flip checked, set at 180. If it fails, I change rotation to 90. Plate solve works.

I take another image. If plate solve fails, I change rotation back to 180. It works.

Most of the targets, from different parts of the sky, work with rotation set at 180 but if plate solve fails, I change rotation to 90 and it works.

OK, but I suggest to don't change the rotation tolerance and leave it at +- 180 degrees. You may decrease the rotation tolerance only if the camera is aligned with the equatorial axes.
The exact field of view is 43.2 arcmin, it can be found with the Statistic Window on a calibrated image, so the setting 42.4 +- 2% may fail too on some images.
