Astroart 7 under Linux for image processing

Post by fabdev » 24 Jan 2019, 16:02

Hello,
thanks to WINE, Astroart can usually be used well under Linux (not for camera control, only for image processing).
In the past there were only some minor glitches in drag & drop and font scaling, which now should be solved.

About WINE see: https://www.winehq.org/
Greg T. sent me the following screenshots from Linux Mint:

I confirm. I am using Astroart in Linux+WINE since many years and now under Mint 19.1 Cinnamon. Everything is OK except USB camera control due to system constraints. Image processing even with large fit files and script development with simulators work great, performance de-rating can't be noticed.
Furthermore Linux PC runs Remmina app and controls my remote telescope PC+WIN10+Astroart7 via a VNC link.
