what is the workflow to measure whether a star is burned out or not (in AA9)?

Hello,
for photometry, when the peak is higher than about 80% of the maximum range. For a typical 16 bit camera this is about 50000 ADU.
The value can be set in the Camera Options / Image / Annotate saturated stars.
Every new image from the camera will be annotated and it will be easy to select an exposure time which don't saturate the variable star or the reference star. On a image opened from disk, the command can be launched with CTRL + SHIFT + S.
