AP Mach 1 not slewing

Post by umasscrew39 » 23 Feb 2019, 01:11

Well- first time trying and nothing going right. I am connected through ASCOM driver to control the telescope. I entered coordinates to go to Capella but scope does not slew. It says I am connected to the ASCOM driver and the controls on the ASCOM v2 driver move the scope when I press them but no movement on the controls through AA7.

I don't have access to AA7 on this PC.

The telescope control window has a tab entitled "MOVE".

Using that tab can you command the mount to move at any of the motor speeds available - guide, find, centre, slew?

Yeah- that was not working either BUT I got it working now. I don't know what happened but all I did was get out of the program, get back in and it worked. Slewing was fine, camera connected, filter wheel connected, focuser connected (but need to check settings) and took a couple 30s images before the clouds rolled in.

good news!

The weather always closes in about 5 minutes before you've finished testing... :(
