I want to replace PHD2 with Astroart.
I open/run TheSkyX via PHD2 will Astroart do the same?
Does it have a slit for guiding?

Jack

Hi, do you mean that you use TheSkyX ASCOM virtual device to pass guide pulses to the telescope via TheSky?

e.g. https://groups.google.com/g/open-phd-gu ... m-b64gaj90

In this case it will work with Astroart as well, but I suggest a test with the demo version.

Guiding on a slit for spectrography works quite well, all started here:

Hi, from the Telescope Window select:

"ASCOM driver" as GOTO
"Same connection" as Guide

Just the first time, select the TheSky driver inside the "ASCOM Chooser" . Later you may skip this step unselecting the option "Ascom Chooser".

To take a look at the autoguide functions indoor, select instead "Simulator" as GOTO, for example for the autoguide tutorial inside the paragraph "Autoguide introduction".
Fabio.

I cannot find such a setting in TheSkyX or Ascom ProfileExplorer??

Hi, those settings are inside the Telescope Window of Astroart.
Those will be the settings used by the Astroart autoguide to send pulses to the "ASCOM telescope".
Fabio.
