Two recent images from the Serpens Observatory
https://photos.app.goo.gl/397RHsTFh4Zj51CbA Jones-Emberson 1 (PK 164+31.1) from Feb 24/25 + 25/26 2022. Taken through a 10in SCT F6.3 OTA @ F5 using a Starizona .75X SCT reducer atop a CEM60. I used an Orion Star Shoot Pro V2 ( APSC 6MP OSC sensor) camera and 31 x 900sec subs for a total integration...

Single star AF and Multistar autoguiding?
Is it possible to write a script that calls single star auto-focus and multi-star autoguiding?
It seems that these two methods can't be used together.

I already have & use AA8. But i don't find sigma clipping.

Re: What are these?
They are present throughout the whole frame. Thinking that they might be Hot Pixels, I applied the hot pixel filter to each one of the 20 x 5mins subs before dark frame subtraction, aligning and stacking (Sum). I Suspect that they are hot pixels, which have been elongated during guiding, and thus b...

Re: Plate solving in AA8
Thanks dunmonro for the quick reply. Yes I have the astroar8.DAT in the AA8 directory. I save and load my platesolving parameters as you described and both the platesolve or immediate platesolve work well. However, the platesolve in the telescope control (center platesolve) never works for me in AA...

Re: Plate solving in AA8
@dunmunro, thanks for the comprehensive summary on the plate solving centering function in the "telescope" function. I searched for the "platesolv.dat" file you mention in the program folders of Astorart, but couldn't locate it. I was using it happily in AA7 with 80-95% success rate. In AA8 however...

Re: Feature request:AA6 focus algorithm with FF focus.
Hi, the "AA6 method" cannot be used on multiple stars at a time, but there is no need for it: the method "Small disc" is actually the same thing, even more precise. I suggest to compare in the focus window the "AA6 method" and "Small disc", they are very similar. Fabio. Thanks, I'll compare them to...

Feature request:AA6 focus algorithm with FF focus.
Feature request: AA6 focus algorithm with FF focus.
Would this be possible? I find the AA6 focus algorithm the most accurate, but it's not available for FF AutoFocus.
thanks
