Interprocess communications
Hi. AA7 can send commands to PHD2. Can it send commands to multiple instances of AA7, to coordinate dithering and imaging sequences?

Re: ASCOM temperature sensor?
Hi, there are some arduino projects, but then you will need to use scripts to program the behaviour, reading the temperature via the virtual serial port. If you need to take a long sequence and just need to autofocus every 90 minutes, you could build a sequence like: seqrep.png autofocus will be la...

ASCOM temperature sensor?
Hi all. I want to add a temperature sensor to monitor the temperature of my SCT tube, and then use that temperature to focus via the coefficient of expansion of the tube. Does any know of a suitable ASCOM supported sensor?

FF Autofocus
After some trial and error, FF autofocus seems to work well. I find that I have to use longer exposures, than with the single star autofocus to get consistent results and the rule of thumb seems to be about twice the integration time as with single star, but 2 exposures per increment. So if single s...

Re: Full frame auto-focus bug
Hi, did you set the special position 99999 to launch autofocus in the Sequencer? Mea Culpa.... I was putting in a 1 for 1 iteration of the FF autofocus, which was my mistake. I'll try it again tonight. However, I did discover that if I tried to use a 50% subframe with FF autofocus that it would cre...

Full frame auto-focus bug
Hi. I've found a bug in the Sequencer FF Autofocus. Basically, it drives the focuser to the zero position when it starts, which typically drives it completely out of focus. Example: Focuser is perfectly focused at position 14725 prior to starting Sequencer. As soon as the Sequencer calls FF autofocu...

Re: Astroart 7.0 SP2
Great, I assume that this is the first exposure of the night (?) If not, for autofocusing during the night, the Step must be lower, because the defocus must be much lower. I'd say maximum 50-100% of star size, for example, if the good focus for your system is stars of 4 pixels then the Step must be...

There's a fully functional free demo available here:

I don't use Maxim, so I can't really comment on that.
