Re: Stacking leads to elongated stars in the corners
Hello, meanwhile I received and downloaded your sequence. I confirm that the change of distortions at the edge after the meridian flip (maybe caused by instrumentation weight?) cannot be corrected by AA. By the way a new code for that is already on development for AA8 SP3, I will send you the prerel...

Re: Focus Temperatur
If you mean a "software" temperature compensation for the focuser, this will be a new feature of Astroart 8 SP2, available in 2-3 weeks.

Re: Stacking leads to elongated stars in the corners
Hello, more stars will not help. To solve the problem it will be useful to see some images of the sequence, for example 6 images: first / mid / last before the meridian flip, and first / mid / last after the meridian flip. If you like, send them by email to: https://www.msb-astroart.com/support.htm ...

Re: RGB stacks clipping blackpoint
Hello, verify if the dark frames are the correct ones (duration, temperature) of each R,G,B sequence.
As a test, try disabling the option "Remove negative pixels" in Preprocessing.

Re: Arrays?
Hello,
the function to get the length of an array is: UBound(array)
For more information see the paragraph "Types and variables"

Re: Subframe focus - Bahtinov and spectral line methods
Hello, I did't understand well the questions, by the way both methods can be used from the Subframe Focus Window, clicking the lower-right button which initially is set to "SmD".

Re: Pause PHD2 when FF AF?
Hello, the "settling" state should be "Looping". But you don't need to check for it, just check until the status is "Guiding".

Re: AA8 SPk Telescope Control - Centering
Hello, 1-2) It's required to click "Save parameters" in the Plate Solve window. This does not depend on Service Packs, it was required also in Astroart 7 for centering the telescope with plate solve. So, 13.5 +- 10% arcminutes is probably the default settings for plate solving. Changing them without...

Updated DSLR plugins
Hi, the plugins for controlling Canon and Nikon cameras have been updated to support the latest cameras.
See: https://www.msb-astroart.com/
If you are already controlling a supported camera, there is no need to upgrade.
Clear skies, Fabio.

Re: Making photometry measurements in AA8 (and do a AAVSO file)
At the end of batch photometry, you could set a format something like: RR LYR,<JD>,<MAG1>,<MAGERR1>,V,NO,STD,NA,NA,NA,NA,<AIRMASS>,NA,[ChartID],NA to create an AAVSO report in magnitudes, but this would be only the last step of a more complex procedure. Star detecting can be changed from Options / S...
