Re: Astroart stacking error with flipped images
Manual settings, ie rotate 180 doesn't help.

Astroart stacking error with flipped images
I'm taking images with SGP.
AA produces error of images after meridian flip.
I'm using automatic setting in Align options.
See if I can attach two images before meridian flip and after. Nope, file too big even zipped.
Using AA7 with SP1.

Re: Follow minor planet - or comet
Back to this.
Today I made a macro to rotate all comet files so they would be north/south.
And now the follow minor planet aligning worked.

I tried but it doesn' t look much better.
Is negative camera angle valid ?

Follow minor planet - or comet
I'm assuming asteroid or comet align assumes that north is up (and east west) in images.
How about when camera is not rotated like that ?
Would it be possible to read angle from fits and then calculate the angle of asteroid/comet based on that ?

Plate solving - single vs stacked
I just make image of recent supernova (SN 2020ue in NGC 4636).
Started doing astrometry/photometry but first plate solving.
But it was strange that I couldn't plate solve using calibrated and stacked image - uncalibrated single image solved fine.

Re: Trichromy - large images?
You were right that they were different size.
Good to know that there's going to be warning of this in the future.

Re: Trichromy - large images?
I tried both 64bit and LAA version and same result.
End mosaic size is about 5000 x 5700 pixels.

Trichromy - large images?
Is there a limit how big images can be fed?
I have made a 3x2 mosaic which is over 5000 pixels in size.
Now when I'm doing Trichromy and adding second channel it deletes the first.

Re: Is 60s good enough?
There are so many variables in AP so no wonder there's 'conflicting info'. If you are going to image moderately bright targets then 60s might be enough - and you only need to stack less than 100 of them. But if you are going NB and image faint targets then you need hundreds (even thousands) of image...
