Re: Stacking gives alignment errors
Once you load the images you want to stack go to options. Next select either Auto align or Manual align. Auto align will allow you to select multiple options, manual align will open an image that you select the star to align on. Hope this helps.

Re: PreProcessing drag and drop files
Could it be your technique? Tap touch pad and drag does not work. Tap release tap and drag works. At least for me.

Re: Plate solving in AA8
Hi ,after you fill in the solve parameters be sure to press the "Save Parameters" button. Is your scope connected to AA so the Ra and Dec are written to the fits. header? There are two plate solve options "Plate Solve" and "Plate Solve immediate" if you are using the "Plate Solve" be sure to click t...

Re: AA control panel
What has happened to me is if I leave the camera control window in the center and connect the camera the setup window opens right behind the control window and causes a similar problem. I found that if I move the camera control window to the location where I want it before I connect the equipment th...

Re: Plate solving in AA8
Hi Dave, great that you solved your ASCOM issue. My experience with AA plate solve is that once I click "OK" to solve, the image is almost immediately solved. So hang in there till you get it fine tuned. Just a suggestion once you do get an image solved if you move the courser off the image look at ...

Re: AA8 failure to connect to camera
I use a laptop for imaging that can control everything mount, camera, filter wheel, guider, focuser, all with AstroArt. Sometimes I go into the house and use Remote desktop to control AA on the imaging laptop and it all works, so I know it can be done. You are running everything on the AstroArt versi...

Re: AA8 failure to connect to camera
I'm confused by what you are trying to do. It sounds like you have the mini PC outfitted to run all your equipment and use remote desk top to operate the remote computer. If that is what you are doing you should not have ALPACA discovery enabled.

Re: AA8 failure to connect to camera
Hi Dave, I don't think you should be trying to connect to ASCOM remote/Alpaca if you are using remote desktop. The ASCOM driver is in the mini PC that has the camera connected to it and you are remotely operating the mini pc desk top. I think your problem is that the mini pc is trying to connect to ...
