Re: AP Mach 1 not slewing
Yeah- that was not working either BUT I got it working now. I don't know what happened but all I did was get out of the program, get back in and it worked. Slewing was fine, camera connected, filter wheel connected, focuser connected (but need to check settings) and took a couple 30s images before ...

Re: AP Mach 1 not slewing
I don't have access to AA7 on this PC.
The telescope control window has a tab entitled "MOVE".
Using that tab can you command the mount to move at any of the motor speeds available - guide, find, centre, slew?

Re: Getting Started: Image capture
That sounds really cool! Love Arizona. Once I figure out what the heck I am doing, we should exchange photos of our setups. Here's my observatory from start to finish: https://goo.gl/photos/yZdrTutwbHWS3JCL7 Currently I have a CEM60 and CEM120 installed, with the 3rd pier as a "guest pier" for a fr...

Re: Getting Started: Image capture
Hi Duncan I'm in Orlando, FL area. Glad folks like you are available to help. I've been doing live viewing for a couple of years but decided to dip my toe into AP and see if I like it. Which is why I was looking for 1 software to do it all for me. I realize many use numerous software packages but I...

Re: Getting Started: Image capture
Excellent! Greatly appreciate the initial guidance.... I need to ensure I get all the gear working as I am in my observatory with the scope 11ft above the ground. So can't keep climbing up and down to get things to work. I should have time tomorrow night to try things out but will practice with the...

Re: Getting Started: Image capture
I have SX cameras_ 814 and 694 and an UltraStar as a guider. SX mini-filter wheel with OAG and Moonlite stepper motofocuser. My scope is a Celestron 11" on an AP Mach 1. I already have ASCOM drivers and that is how I connected them to SGP. I assume I will be able to do the same with AA7 but please ...

Re: Getting Started: Image capture
It would help to know what equipment (camera, mount, etc and if they need ASCOM) that you are using. Basically 1) start AA7 LAA if using 64bit windows -> (look at the menu at the top of the window) 2) select Plugin -> Camera Control 7.0 -> Setup -> imaging camera ->(Select Camera) - Connect 3) Camer...

Re: Sequencer AA7
Hi Dunmunro, If you add something like this into your script you can select the guide star you want to use for guiding! Just download the field you want to image and draw a box around the star you want to use. Then start your script! x = Image.GetPointX y = Image.GetPointY Image.Close Camera.Start(...

Re: Sequencer AA7
The current autofocus always selects the brightest star. Maybe the focus exposure time was too short? On some fields an exposure time of 2 seconds may be necessary to get an acceptable star. OK, I will write you by PM when ready. (But only increasing the exposure time will solve). Thanks. I'll chec...

Re: Sequencer AA7
Hello, 1) I don't undestand well the question: do you need to start autoguiding inside the script (with commands like "Guider.StartAutoguide") or manually? Do you mean the the options are not remembered at startup or even between sequences? 2) Yes of course. The current Autofocus window was not lin...

Re: Sequencer AA7
Mea Culpa... I think I must have failed to close the dither autoguide panel because it is working now.
