Re: using the stars option in view

Maybe the stars where extremely oversampled and saturated? In this case astrometry on those stars will not be precise in any case. By the way you can force the collection of those star with CTRL + click. Then proceed with the command Astrometry as usual, but be very careful with the O-Cs, if they be...

Re: AA4 and SXV-H9C with Autoguider Head

Other things you could try: 1) Take two full images one after the other (maybe the CCD is not flushed correctly?) 2) Select a box almost as big as the whole image, then use the focus or guide window to verify the field. 3) Are you really sure that what you see in the guide window is a real signal? Re: Scripted Autofocus parameters

You may also try the new full-frame autofocus procedure, as explained in "AA7SP1-Quicknotes.PDF" here: https://www.astroart-forum.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=417 where the command is: Camera.FullFrameAutofocus(exposure) if you saved the default options, or Camera.FullFrameAutoFocus(exposure, darks...

Re: Lucky Imaging problem

The settings seem different: the image on the left seems an Average Combine while the image on the right seems a Sigma Combine (or dark corrected).

Re: Staright Xxpress Users

Hello, before using the Astroart plugin you need to install the low level drivers from SX:

https://www.sxccd.com/drivers-downloads "Signed drivers for 32 and 64 ..."

then check the camera with the SX M25 software below: "Trius, SXVR and SXVF camera software ..."

Updated plugin for Canon DSLRs

Hello everybody, an updated plugin which supports the latest DSLR models (2000D, 4000D, etc) is available at the Astroart web site. If you are using an older model there is no need to upgrade. The latest mirrorless cameras and the 250D DSLR are not supported because at the moment it's not supported ...

Re: Newbie - Astrometry Issues

Hello, I suggest to start with Tutorial #9 with the M57 image (you don't need to create a Sum). Try both the automatic and manual procedure. If a precision of 0.3 arcseconds is sufficient, you may just use plate solving for astrometry. About k1 and k2, setting them manually is used only for instrume...

Re: Connection to aladin website fails on AA7 SP1

Hello Bernd,
it's possible that it depends on the browser, which one are you using? Maybe non-secure http is blocked? What do you see in the browser?
Thanks,
Fabio.

Re: ROI

Hello, this could be a bug in the 1600mm ASCOM driver, verify if a new version is available. You can solve selecting the option "Disable subframes" in the Astroart ASCOM plugin 2.10, this will force the download of full frames from the camera and the ROI will be cropped by software (the download wil...
