Re: IThumbnailProvider
No, and I think they could not. The program should be quick and "invisible", often they are implemented as DLLs.

Re: IThumbnailProvider
It would be even better to write a small free program for that, just like we did with our FITS viewer: http://www.msbsoftware.it/avis/ . I will consider it in the future, thanks.

Re: Visualization
Yes, with SHIFT+F4 (or right click over the image then "View Range/..."). By the way a default visualization range can be obtained clicking on the Status Bar of the image, or pressing F4 (or F3 for a min-max visualization). On 8 bit images, press SHIFT+F3 for a 0..255 visulization (or Menu: "Visuali...

Re: Photometric Color Calibration
Hello, it's not possible.
As an alternative I can suggest the commands White Balance (both Algorithm and Bias) then Color Curves.

Re: Astroart Processing and FITS headers
What are the FIT headers AVISUMIN and AVISUMAX ? Hello, they are the visualization thresholds inside Astroart. They are used only when you reopen the image. When I finish preprocessing .fit files I get one set of values of AVISUMIN and AVISUMAX They were the visualization of a single raw image. Whe...

Re: Manual 2 star align?
Hello, here are 4 reasons: 1) The dark frame must be corrected before debayering. 2) Debayering is a filter, and you may need to change the algorithm (the one used in your BMPs was not good, look at the shape of the stars). 3) In case of a discovery, you must have the original images. 4) Storing deb...

Re: Manual 2 star align?
Hello, working with BMP has at least 3 problems: 1) The dynamic is only 8 bit, with FITS you would get 12/16 bits. 2) The dark frame cannot be corrected well. For example, in your sequence try to open an image, for example #14, then open a dark frame, then subtract the dark frame from the image and ...

Re: Manual 2 star align?
Hello Krisztian,
I think that we can solve, but I don't understand: the files on your Google Drive are coloured BMP (?)
Don't you have the original FITS RAW files? Which software did you use to download them?
Greetings,
Fabio.

Re: Manual 2 star align?
Hello, yes, the "Two stars" method will work (increase the Radius to 100), but not perfectly, because the images also have a difference in scale . Maybe they were taken with a zoom lens which moved? cause the temperature? So, the correct alignment should be done with "Star pattern" but it's not poss...

Re: Manual 2 star align?
Hello,
manual alignment works only with one star. By the way, please post or send by email the first and last image of a sequence (even in JPEG) maybe there is a setting to force the automatic alignment.

Re: How to make a part of the image look negative within the same image
A procedure could be:
1) Select the region on your original image.
2) Crop the region, then Invert it with the Formula command.
3) Resize the cropped image.
4) Copy to clipboard the cropped image, select the original image then Paste with the option "Into image".
