Re: AStroart 7 photometry & Astrometry question
About Mira, usually the precison of bright stars is not so good. For precise "DSLR" photometry, (which applies to any GRGB CCD) usually the green or red channel is used, so the image should be demosaiced with the option "Green channel" or "Red channel", see: https://www.aavso.org/dslr-observing-manu...

Re: AStroart 7 photometry & Astrometry question
Maybe the problem is that the GSC has no stars close to very bright objects(?), but with the UCAC4 this is solved. Both the u4b and the parent folder will be accepted as valid paths for the UCAC4. I never used the Python script to fix those stars, because it's related to some stars with high proper ...

Re: Printing the value in the CCD simulator and 'V' in aperture photometry tool
Hi, the commands would be: Image.GetPixel(x,y) and Image.Stars.ADU(1) (after you have selected the star) but they have been added in Astroart 6, so in Astroart 4 the only way to do that is with a Plugin. A plugin for Astroart 4 can be developed with the SDK 4.0 available at: http://www.msb-astroart....

Re: Astroart 7.0 SP2
Great, I assume that this is the first exposure of the night (?) If not, for autofocusing during the night, the Step must be lower, because the defocus must be much lower. I'd say maximum 50-100% of star size, for example, if the good focus for your system is stars of 4 pixels then the Step must be ...

Re: Applying dark results in dark image
Hi, master darks cannot be done with "Sum" methods, it's required to use the "Average" methods, otherwise they will have a diffent scale compared to light images.
With that dark frame you can solve dividing the image by 50 then saving it.

Focusers and Rotators in SP2
Hello everybody, Astroart 7.0 SP2 has several new features for these devices. The focuser temperature can be used as ambient temperature and written in the FITS Header: AmbTemp.png During autofocus the results are drawn as graphs in realtime, both in the subframe and in the fullframe autofocus: AmbT...

Hi, verify that in the u4b folder there are 900 files, check the file size of some of them to verify that it was downloaded correctly.

Re: Save "Points" used for gradient removal
Hi, on the other image, just SHIFT+Click to copy and paste the points.
SHIFT+Click can also be used to recover deleted points on the same image. Other functions are described in the Help, paragraph: "Selected point".

Re: Preprocessing error
Yes, two separated stars, for example near the corners, but not too close to the borders. By the way "two stars" is useful only if the image have rotation too, maybe "one star" is sufficient for those images. Try a comparison of the result. A bit of saturation in the center of the star is not a prob...

Re: Preprocessing error
Hi, the problem is big saturated stars, for the moment the only way to solve is to use the align method "One star" (or "Two stars" if you want to correct rotation). Procedure: 1) Before launching the preoprocessing, open the first image, select a star (ideal is a medium bright star, isolated, eg. wi...
