Re: Strange Behavior with ZWO ASI294MM camera

Hi,

ZWO "just" (i.e., 10/8/2021) came out with a new ASCOM driver.

I installed it.

Everything works fine.

Thanks to all of you.

Re: Strange Behavior with ZWO ASI294MM camera

When I choose ASCOM, the only that shows up in the dropdown menu is "Camera V2 Simulator" and "simulator".

Re: Strange Behavior with ZWO ASI294MM camera

Hi

When I select ASCOM, none of my cameras show up in the list.

I do have the latest version of ASCOM and drivers.

BASIC Programming Language

Hi,

I have been writing a few scripts using the documentation in Astro Art.

When I do an Internet search on the BASIC programming language, I get a long list of different versions. It is very confusing.

Is there a single version that I should look at for reference?

Thank You!

Camera Gain

Hi

I see that there are functions for the camera binning (i.e., Camera.binning(2) ).

Is there one for setting the camera gain?

32 vs 64 bit

Hi

When I open Astro Art V7 using 32 bit, my camera plugins show up.

When I open Astro Art V7 using 64 bit, my camera plugins do not show up.

What happened?

removing the bright sun from an image

Hi

I took this photo of the sun and overexposed it in order to view the prominences.

Is there a method that I can use to remove the full disk of the sun and leave only the prominences.

I tried using masks, but could not figure it out.

Thank You.

Focus a spectrum

Hi, In SP4, I see that there are features for focusing a spectrum. I assume that it is similar to focusing on a star. 1. Take a full image with the main camera. (i.e., click the “Start” button and record a spectral line.) 2. Select a rectangle around an absorption line(instead of a star) 3. Click th...
