Re: Auto Mosaic in AA9

Here's a mosaic of M81 and M82 from last night, both are one hour (12x300sec) images from a 10in F5 SCT and an ASI1071MC Pro camera. I've been experimenting with camera back focus distance and orientation, so I haven't run flats yet; I used adaptive gradient removal on each image prior to making the...

OK thanks, it will be added.
It will be released with SP1 in February. If you like to have the pre-release, just contact me by PM or email: https://www.msb-astroart.com/support.htm .
Fabio.
Thanks!

Re: Abell 426 - 8.25 hours integration time.

I improved image resolution via using an actual star PSF for 20 iterations of RL deconvolution. Here's partial comparison with the SDSS:

10in SCT and AA9 vs the DSS

Here I compare my 10in F8 (see previous post for details) system with a stack of 51 x 5 min exposures, Full Frame autofocused and autoguided (via an OAG) with AA9 to the DSS, centred on the emission nebula Sharpless 223. I have yet to run flats with this setup so it's not yet possible to boost the r...

AA9 plate solver = Excellent!

AA9 now solves the polar field with high reliability! I start my mounts in the home position (aiming north), turn on tracking and then do an image of the polar field which now solves every time, and the mount now places most targets in the central portion of the camera field after the first goto! I ...

AA9 feature request: auto target name from goto name

AA9 feature request: auto sequence image name from goto name?

Would it be possible for the mount goto target to auto populate the sequence image name?

I goto M3, for example, and the sequence name automatically becomes M3.

Re: HX916 Image Download Fails

So, after almost 15 years, I am going to try to get back into imaging. I have an older Starlight Xpress HX916 with the USB 1.1 interface, which I'm running on a somewhat older Windows 10 laptop. I have followed all of the advice and instructions for getting the camera to function with Astroart. The...

M33 CCD F5 Vs CMOS F8

I managed a couple of test images last night whilst reactivating my observatory after a 6 month absence. The upper image is from an ASI1071MC and the lower is from an Orion SSPro. I used AA9LAA with the SSPro/10in F5 SCT/CEM60 and AA964bit with the ASI1071MC/10in F8 SCT/CEM120 (two different mounts ...

Hello, it's not possible to reduce the memory used, but you may use the LAA or the 64 bit version.
If the MiniPC has an SSD it will be very fast to use virtual memory on disk, even if the physical RAM is only 2 Gb.
Fabio.
OK, thanks.

ASI1071MM, Is that a new model discontinued model or mistake :?:
It should read ASI 1071MC = APSC bayer array camera.
