Re: Astroart with ASCOM remote
I'm not very happy with Chrome remote hence the USB rout. There is a thread on CN about remote connection options and Windows remote seems to have a lot of fans. Both my computers have Windows home so I would have to pay $100 to get Pro. On the other hand ASCOM remote is free so if anyone is using ...

Re: Astroart with ASCOM remote
Is anyone using ASCOM remote? I have my observatory up and running temporarily using USB extender. I want to set up wireless connection, either Windows remote desktop or ASCOM remote. If you are using ASCOM remote how is it working out for you? I don't use it, but why not just use a miniPC, running...

Re: AARemote.dll 64-bit version?
As per the above, but the specific URL:astrosharp wrote: ↑19 Apr 2024, 10:29Hi,
I can't seem to locate a 64-bit version of the AA8 remote DLL. I found a previous discussion about this from back in 2016 but the link is dead.

Astroart 8 SP5 64bit - camera control.
I've upgraded one of my imaging setups [ 10in SCT at F8 with a Starizona LF SCT reducer, OAG with ASi178mm guide camera, CEM120 mount] from an APSC Orion Starshoot Pro V1 camera to an APSC ASI1071 MC Pro camera. I am happy to report that AA8 64bit SP5 + ASCOM 2.73 works as expected with the 64bit ca...

Re: AA8 with the Sky X
I'm doing my best at trying to use a paramount MEII controlled by AA8 via The Sky X. I have The correct ASCOM Sky for telescope control where I have deactivated synchronise. What I would like to know is the correct settings for TSX and start up procedure. I start up AA with the control settings suc...

Re: Suggestions for next SP - multizone deconvolution
I was thinking about how to implement more effective deconvolution that would work better for images that have a large variation in the PSF from the centre to the edge of the sensor. A simple way would be to automatically create a series of circular masks. with the inner mask covering about 25% diam...

Jones-Emberson 1 (PK 164+31.1)
Jones-Emberson 1 (PK 164+31.1) is a 14th magnitude planetary nebula in Lynx. This image is the result of a Sigma-Sum stack of 36 x 900sec subframes (9 hours integration time), taken by an Orion Starshoot Pro V2 APSC CCD camera through a Meade 10in F6.3 SCT @ F5 via a Starizona .75X SCT reducer on a ...

Re: Shifting a set of images by a given shift (dX,dY) depending on image
Hi, I am at the very beginning of my leaning curve about scripts. So, I have a number of questions ... I would like to shift a set of images (image-1.fit, image-2.fit, image-3.fit, ..., image-i.fit) by a given shift (X, Y)(i), the value of each shift (X,Y) dependant on the image number i. I know ho...
