Re: black images on new pc
I am using AA9 and all the latest drivers from Starlight Xpress and the latest Ascom platform. (I just installed a new pc;-) If I connect to Ascom I can take 1 image and then the Camera plugin crashes and I can't take a second image! I have a feeling that the problem is connected to the usb drivers...

Re: script for automatic goto, platesolve, sync, centre, and FF autoguide
I'm not sure where to ask this. I use this script for automated target acquisition and I'm trying to add automated meridian flips to the script and/or have AA9 control the meridian flip via the telescope control meridian flip interface. However when I have tested using the telescope control meridian...

Re: starlight xpress camera power-on sequence
If I use Ascom it hangs after 1 image, so no..... I use the Starlight drivers and the ones from AstroArt I was helping a friend setup an ASI2600duo and we had to modify the Camera Control->setup->Options window to ensure proper function: https://www.astroart-forum.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=984 ...

AA9 SP3 and the ASI 2600duo
AA9 SP3 and the ASI 2600duo For proper function of imaging and guider camera it is mandatory to open the Camera Control->setup->Options window and ensure that both of these ASCOM boxes are checked: aapoptions.jpg otherwise the imaging or guiding cameras will hang when trying to autoguide and image s...

Re: starlight xpress camera power-on sequence
Are you using ASCOM? if so you can use the ASCOM diagnostics to try and track down the error.

Using the Starnet plugin to remove unwanted artifacts
This is a work in progress but I wanted to share my attempts to remove the unwanted RGB flares from the bright stars in this image of the Rosette Nebula centred on NGC 2239; 79 x 5min subs using my 10in F5 (via a Starizona LF SCT reducer) and an ASI071 MC Pro (OSC) camera on a CEM60 mount: processin...

Re: plate solve mistery
Fabio, still a bit confused. Am I correct thinking the sequence (at startup) is as follows: 1. use telescope goto to go to a position 2. use camera control to make an image 3. use tools/plate solve to solve 4. got back to telescope and sync 5. use exposure+center to really find the required star If...
