Dunmunro,

Thanks for the replay. Great idea and will try it tomorrow. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Thanks Again

Joe

Re: Full Frame Focus Exposure Time By Filter

All, I’m really liking AA8, especially when moving along the learning curve quickly! I ran into another dilemma and looking for a solution. I have an 8 position filter wheel with LRGB and narrow band filters. When auto-focusing I’ve been using 3 seconds exposures for the LRGB filters and 30 seconds...

NGC 5466

This is an integration of 8 x 1200sec ( 2.66 hours) exposures using an Orion Starshoot Pro V2 OSC 6MP APSC camera and a 10in F10 SCT @ F7 via a Starizona .63X SCT focal reducer. I autoguided the image with an OAG using Astroart's Full Frame guiding. PreProcessing: Sigma Sum Colour Demosaic = 4 gradi...

M13 - Feb 27

This is an integration of 43 x 300sec ( 3.6 hours) exposures using an Orion Starshoot Pro V2 OSC 6MP APSC camera and a 10in F6.3 SCT @ F5 via a Starizona .75X SCT focal reducer. I guided the image with a 50mm F3.6 guidescope using Astroart's Full Frame guiding as I couldn't find a suitable guidestar...

Hi

No just a fixed tripod. The simpler the better!

Re: Nova Sgr 2023

Awesome!

So you're using an 85mm camera lens on an equatorial mount?

M64

This is M64 from last night: 10in F7 SCT on a CEM120 mount, 8 x 20min subs, dark subtracted, Drizzle stacked, 20 x LR deconvolution, DDP and a gradient filter in lieu of flats. I'm not completely happy with this image as we had some high, thin cloud, and I didn't get enough subs. M64_8x20minLRx20_DD...

Good Morning,

can somebody help me to automate my darks library.
for example how can I automate 50 darks with temperature -10°c and 300 seconds?
where can I see the actual temperature of the sensor.

best regards

Rob

Re: Vanderbei Deconvolution for coma and field curvature.

That's interesting. Yes, that plug-in is single-threaded. It looks like most of the blurring is caused by image deformations from different wavelengths, not PSF. Maybe after having separated the image into R-G-B channel the new alignment with distortions could attenuate the problem (align R to G, t...

Vanderbei Deconvolution for coma and field curvature.

I've been experimenting with Dr Vanderbei's plugin using AA8LAA SP3: abell30x1200DC_DDP_gradient.jpg (image is centred on NGC1275) n1275_driz27x1200_VD_DDP.jpg (drizzled to simulate files from a 24MP camera) The plugin seems to only work with monochrome images, so I split the master fits image into ...
