Have you checked all the connections between the camera and scope especially the focuser ? Maybe just a lose connection that flexes during auto focus.
Good luck

Re: Fullframe Autofocus with elongated stars
That never happens when I focus. Do you have guiding active when you focus? If yes pause the guider and see if that helps.

Re: Atik 16IC and ASCOM
Did you install the ASCOM platform? Just asking since you didn't say you installed it.
Re: Profiles
I use a script to connect everything. In my case I have 3 different scopes so the same script works for each set-up. If you are using different cameras you would need to save a script for each set-up. I'm not sure if you can select a specific mount, focuser, and filter wheel from a script.

Re: Astroart with ASCOM remote
It's been a while since I last used Chrome remote so after reading your endorsement I gave it another try. It seems much improved since I last used it.
Thanks for the recommendation.

Re: Astroart with ASCOM remote
I'm not very happy with Chrome remote hence the USB rout. There is a thread on CN about remote connection options and Windows remote seems to have a lot of fans. Both my computers have Windows home so I would have to pay $100 to get Pro. On the other hand ASCOM remote is free so if anyone is using i...

Is anyone using ASCOM remote? I have my observatory up and running temporarily using USB extender. I want to set up wireless connection, either Windows remote desktop or ASCOM remote. If you are using ASCOM remote how is it working out for you?

Re: Processing Seestar S50 images
Hi Andrew, what you are asking for could not be answered in a simple reply on a message forum. I suggest you look into some books about astrophotography image processing. Years ago I started out with a book by Ron Wodaski "The New CCD Astronomy" it's pretty old now but that's one I would recommend. ...

Re: Tools > Plate Solve
From the help file under scripts.
Image.FindCoordinates (ra,de,stars,[search],[fovarcmin])
Finds the center plate and calibrates the image via plate solving. It's possible to set the search zone in degrees (default is 2°x2°) and the field of view in arcminutes.

Re: Camera Control Setup tab - Scripts
I would assume that scripts in the macro tab would be processing scripts and camera control scripts would be scripts used during image acquisition.

Re: Camera Control Setup tab - Scripts
click scripts, library, configure, name the script, insert the path to the saved script.
You can then execute the script by clicking on the name of the script you want to run.
