Re: Processing Seestar S50 images

Hi Andrew, what you are asking for could not be answered in a simple reply on a message forum. I suggest you look into some books about astrophotography image processing. Years ago I started out with a book by Ron Wodaski "The New CCD Astronomy" it's pretty old now but that's one I would recommend. ...

Re: Tools > Plate Solve

From the help file under scripts.

Image.FindCoordinates (ra,de,stars,[search],[fovarcmin])

Finds the center plate and calibrates the image via plate solving. It's possible to set the search zone in degrees (default is 2°x2°) and the field of view in arcminutes.

Re: Camera Control Setup tab - Scripts

I would assume that scripts in the macro tab would be processing scripts and camera control scripts would be scripts used during image acquisition.

Re: Camera Control Setup tab - Scripts

click scripts, library, configure, name the script, insert the path to the saved script.
You can then execute the script by clicking on the name of the script you want to run.

Re: Astroart 8 Install on new Windows 11 computer

You are correct, I think it was a pre- released I installed that way. The final release did self install on my Windows 11. Maybe Fabio or another user has a suggestion.

Re: Astroart 8 Install on new Windows 11 computer

I'm using Windows 11 and SP 4 installed fine. I downloaded SP4 and unzipped it then copy and past to AA 8 folder. Could it be you are using the trial version? Maybe that won't let you install a service pack?

Re: Full Frame Focus Exposure Time By Filter

To control your mount select ASCOM driver. For guiding select same connection as goto for pulse guide or if you are using a guide cable from your camera to your mount select camera 2 for your guide camera or camera 1 if your using the relays from your imaging camera.

Re: Full Frame Focus Exposure Time By Filter

If you will be imaging and guiding with Astroart and you connected to your mount through its ASCOM driver select "camera 2 relays" for guide if you have the guide cable connected to your guide camera. If your guide cable is connected to your imaging camera select "camera 1 relays" for guide. If your...

Re: Preset Focuser Position By Filter

Hi Joe, I also use a Robo-focus. I'll tell you how I set mine up, that should get you close. If you take an image and you see fairly in focus stars just use the settings you see in the screen shot. If you are out of focus use the manual focus buttons to get close. I have an SCT with the focus motor ...

Re: how to automate darks

Here is a screen shot of a dark sequence bin 1x1, just change the name and bin mode to Dark 2x2 and run it a second time.
The camera Temperature and power % is shown in the bottom right corner of the camera control window.
