Re: Swan and Fishtail in Omega Neb

Hello, at the bottom of the image it's partially visible the other part of the nebula (arc shape), which is visible in this image:

Maybe you could do a mosaic.
P.S. in the second image the blue channel is too weak.

Swan and Fishtail in Omega Neb

So I always thought the Swan was the whole thing..But my pictures show the Swan as the head of the fish tale, roughly proportioned. Is that right?

Re: New Observatory and first light images

Hi Mike, those images are very sweet. I like the combination of the UK based equipment - not one I've seen before but it works very well indeed. Excellent image processing as well.

Re: New Observatory and first light images

Mike,
Good to see your images here.
I agree, I think AA5 punches well above its weight.

New Observatory and first light images

I recently completed a new observatory and have had time to take three images, all acquired, calibrated and preprocessed using AA5 of course 8-) (Photoshop for post processing also) I upgraded to the latest AA5 camera control interface too and wow, the new dither guide and multitasking works perfect...

Supernova in UGC 11635 discovered with a script

Hello all, V. Tinella just reported me that last month he discovered a supernova (see: http://www.astronomerstelegram.org/?read=9018 ) using an Astroart script. The script is currently taking 400-500 images, sorted using the "shortest path" command, then they are inspected the following morning with...

Re: Hubble Legacy Archive Images

Good evening,
maybe they are 64 bit FITS? This format is not supported by AA5.
AA6 should be able to open them, if you can, post the link to those images.
Thanks,
Fabio.

Hubble Legacy Archive Images

Good Evening All, I just realized that we have access to the Hubble data in fits format. I would not post images from it but I would enjoy trying to process it. It shows the data as .fits format but when I attempt to open the downloaded file in AA5, it says file format is not supported. Has anyone i...
