Re: AA8 Astrometry: consistent dec error vs MPC ephemeris

Hi, is this variance expressed in RA/DEC coordinates ?
If yes, then it's correct, since the RA error must be multiplied by 15 to match the DEC error in arcseconds.

Re: AA8 Omission and Praise

Hello, do you mean the boxed version ? This is no longer available. By the way, if you copy the download version to a CDROM or a USB key, you obtain the same result, the Setup can be launched from any media, an internet connection is not needed at all. The upgrade (download version) can be purchased...

GPS time from camera

Hello, an updated ASCOM plugin is available at the Astroart web site: http://www.msb-astroart.com/ GPS time from professional cameras (for example, FLI ProLine) is now supported. The plugin is still compatible with Astroart 5/6/7, but the option of reading the time from the camera actually requires ...

Re: Native camera drivers

I suggest to analyze the data, all pixels may be EVEN or multiple of 4. This was the case last time.

Re: Native camera drivers

Hi, no I'm sorry, only the ASCOM connection for Altair will be available. ASCOM is only a middle layer, it internally connects to the same native drivers. Some months ago a user measured the ASCOM was slower with another camera, but later it was discovered that in native mode the camera downloaded i...

Re: Feature request:AA6 focus algorithm with FF focus.

Hi, the "AA6 method" cannot be used on multiple stars at a time, but there is no need for it: the method "Small disc" is actually the same thing, even more precise. I suggest to compare in the focus window the "AA6 method" and "Small disc", they are very similar.

Re: Error when opening Hubble fits file

Hi, this image is encoded as a image "EXTENSION", it cannot by opened by AA. Actually there's a development version which can open it, it's available under request if you like, this is the image once opened in Astroart: HST-NIC.jpg The FITS header says that this is a processed image from 2009. The i...

Re: CPU Core

Hi, Remove gradient and almost all intensive filters will use all cores and will benefit from them. Preprocessing is different, it's a series of different elaborations, for example file opening and analysis will not benefit from other CPU cores, it would be better a fast SSD and fast memory, while s...

Re: DemosaicRGB()

Hi, they are in the same order of the DemosaicRGB window, by the way, the best way to get them is: 1) Apply the RGB Demosaic manually to a sample image. 2) On the new color image, open the History and note the 6 parameters (which are: pattern, method, saturation, hot pixels, white balance, bias bala...
