Re: Feature request: scale bar on images

I can confirm that this feature will be added, maybe also in kilometers for comets.
For the moment, if you need to add a scale marker to many images for publication (from the same instrument), consider the Logo annotation.
Thanks, Fabio.

Re: Guiding problems

The mount (iOptron CEM40EC) is driven via ascom not the camera relays...I am not sure if this is relevant but I have noticed.. In this case select in the Telescope Window "ASCOM" for Goto, and "Same connection" for Guide. If it still does not work you may contact me for technical assistance at: htt...

Updated ASCOM plugin

Hello, an updated ASCOM plugin (version 2.20) is now available at the Astroart web site: http://www.msb-astroart.com/ It's a minor upgrade, it's now possible to connect to the camera without using the ASCOM Chooser (to save time, and to avoid problems with some recent ASCOM drivers). By the way, it'...

Re: Guiding problems

.. My Guide scope is a 30mm ZWO unit which is about 14" per pixel and guide at 1x siderial. What settings would be a good start point for AA&? With PHD I guide quite happily at 3-5s exposures but to calibrate I had to set the pulse to about 8s. Hi, are you really sure about 14" and 1X sideral ? Tha...

Re: Feature request

Yes, it will be added. The most important task will be to avoid stars while keeping a uniform distribution of points.
For the moment I suggest start placing points along the borders first, then following a spiral, proceed toward the center.

Re: Astroart Plug-ins For Image Processing

Hello, plug-ins usually contain peculiar or experimental filters. When they become widely used they are usually integrated in the main program. For example, the Destripe plugin which is becomming more popular for CMOS cameras, is now integrated in SP6. Plugins released in the last 2 years are usuall...

Re: Pixel processing in SP6

Hi Rudi, it's not possible, but just like in C it's possible to use a mono-dimensional array to represent the image, then the item can be addressed as X + Y*Width . For example for coordinate x = 100 and y = 50: w = 640 h = 480 Dim arr(w*h) x = 100 y = 50 arr(x + y*w + 1) = 65000 print arr(x + y*w +...

Re: After Preprocessing, How to Use Trichromy?

Hi, I suggest to start with L: do Preprocessing, (maybe save the settings if you want to repeat it later) then obtain the combined L image. This will show you which level of S/N you can expect in your final LRGB image. On the master L image, apply the filters you need (e.g. DDP, histogram stretch, n...

Re: Feature request

OK. This is not planned in the near future, so for the moment I can suggest the fastest procedure available: 1) For every night do a usual Preprocessing with the method Sum or Sigma+Sum. Maybe save the setting for later use. 2) Repeat for the other nights, leave all Preprocessing results opened in t...

Re: Feature request

Hello, do you mean sets of images with different temperature, so different dark frames, etc ?
