Re: Feature request

Yes, it will be added. The most important task will be to avoid stars while keeping a uniform distribution of points.
For the moment I suggest start placing points along the borders first, then following a spiral, proceed toward the center.

Re: Astroart Plug-ins For Image Processing

Hello, plug-ins usually contain peculiar or experimental filters. When they become widely used they are usually integrated in the main program. For example, the Destripe plugin which is becomming more popular for CMOS cameras, is now integrated in SP6. Plugins released in the last 2 years are usuall...

Re: Pixel processing in SP6

Hi Rudi, it's not possible, but just like in C it's possible to use a mono-dimensional array to represent the image, then the item can be addressed as X + Y*Width . For example for coordinate x = 100 and y = 50: w = 640 h = 480 Dim arr(w*h) x = 100 y = 50 arr(x + y*w + 1) = 65000 print arr(x + y*w +...

Re: After Preprocessing, How to Use Trichromy?

Hi, I suggest to start with L: do Preprocessing, (maybe save the settings if you want to repeat it later) then obtain the combined L image. This will show you which level of S/N you can expect in your final LRGB image. On the master L image, apply the filters you need (e.g. DDP, histogram stretch, n...

Re: Feature request

OK. This is not planned in the near future, so for the moment I can suggest the fastest procedure available: 1) For every night do a usual Preprocessing with the method Sum or Sigma+Sum. Maybe save the setting for later use. 2) Repeat for the other nights, leave all Preprocessing results opened in t...

Pixel processing in SP6

Hello, as written in the post about the release of Service Pack 6, some new commands have been added, and all the "GetPixel" and "SetPixel" commands are now much faster to permit image processing and analysis in scripts. Image.PrepareUndo Image.Undo Image.GetPixelR(x,y) Image.GetPixelG(x,y) Image.Ge...

Re: combining 1x1 lights with 2x2 colour

Hi, you can combine steps 1 and 2 with the single command "Coregister", which scales and aligns. If it's not possible to align automically, Coregister will ask you to select three stars (or three points) on both images. The procedure is: select the RGB image, click "Coregister", the select the L ima...

Re: Difficulties to remove subtle gradients

Yes, a darker UI will be added in the future. Meanwhile the Full Screen window with its black UI can be used for some tasks: press CTRL+F12 to show it, then: [+] (Numeric keypad). Zooms in the image. [-] (Numeric keypad). Zooms out the image. [Arrows]. Pans the image. [PAG_UP] , [PAG_DOWN]. Changes ...

Re: autoguiding query

Hi, about "reduced the pulsing", which option exactly ? By the way, I suggest to reset all autoguide settings (click the 3 buttons "Default values") and repeat the calibration (is it normal that RA is 2X faster than DEC?)
