Re: Feature Request

Hi Andrew,
OK thank you, something similar will be added to the Service Pack 1 next year.
For "blinking stars" do you mean a moving minor planet?

Re: Schedule an script execution at a certain time

Hi, it could be done with the function Time() or the function JD(), for example: sub WaitTime(s) while true if Mid(Time(), 1, 5) = s then break print Time() + " waiting..." Pause(1) Cls end while end sub WaitTime("04 00") Instead of waiting for a given time, it can be more optimized to wait for a gi...

Re: Image.Rectangle Crop

OK. It's not possible to select a rectangle via scripts, but since usually a selection is centered around an object, this script could solve: Select a point on the subject then: sizeX = 300 sizeY = 200 if Image.Points.Count <> 1 then Message("Please select a point") end end if cx = Image.GetPointX c...

Re: Image.Rectangle Crop

Hi, may you explain the pass:
"Read the coordinate and change them according to aspect ratio" ?
What is the goal of the processing? Maybe there's a different way to do that.
Fabio.

Re: Preprocess and Comet Tracking

The orientation of the image must be set in the Observer page (Pixel scale / Angle) of the Options.
It can be found with a plate solve, then Statistics.

Re: The Plate Solving function in AA8.

Just to clarify: inside Astroart there are two different plate solve commands: 1) The command "Plate solve" which does not use the Star Atlas nor its catalogs. 2) The command "Reference stars automatic" from the Star Atlas, which uses the current star catalog. To make this work the star atlas must d...

Re: Sigma + sum

Hi, Average and Sum are almost the same thing, the only difference is the division by N at the end of the process. This is true also for Sigma (which is just an average with rejection of bad values) and Sigma+Sum Division by N : Advantages: it keeps the dynamic of the original images, so the file si...

Re: Bayer

Hi, to auto-recognize the pattern there's also the button "Open <firstfile>" in that dialog window, the button becomes visible once some files are selected in the Images box. At the moment there is no recognition (25% 25% 25% 25%) because no images were opened from disk. Once that is done, probably ...

Re: Guiding log

Hello, right click in the Statistics page, then from the context menu use "Save data" or "Copy data to clipboard", this will create a text file with the guide errors for every frame. To evaluate the current guide parameters use the "AvgRA" and "AvgDE" values, then click "Clear data" after having cha...
