Fabio, Re point 1 i am finding in difficult to follow the instructions given in the manual and tutorial. I can load up the images, flats, darks etc into the pre-processing, but it's what to do next and how to proceed? your comments re point 2 seem to ring a bell with me so I shall look into this fur...

Fabio, thanks for replying. The reason I asked was that on my present set up I use maxIm DL for focusing. I do not yet use AA& with it and I find it best to focus on a given magnitude star for a given filter. It would be useful for me there. On my new set up I will use AA7 from the start. many thank...
